How seriously does CPP take your alternate major choice?

So my first choice major is Animal Science Pre-vet, but seeing as this is impacted and I only have around a 3.5/3.6 gpa assuming I don’t mess up this last semester of junior year, chances are I can’t make it into Animal Science.

So if I put Animal Science as my first choice, and then put for example Agriculture Sciences as my second choice, if I don’t get in as Animal Science will they still take me in as an Agriculture major? I’m just not sure how much they consider your second choice and whether or not it’d be better to make my first choice Agriculture with the intent of changing majors later on.

Thanks everyone!

I’ve been trying to find out the same thing, I regret my first choice and I tried to change it before the deadline, but CPP was on winter break so they never read my email. I really really hope they consider my second choice.

My understanding is they are the only CSU that still allows an alternate major.
