How should I ask?

<p>how should I ask this teacher I really want to get a rec from?</p>

<p>Some college guides say like ask them if they could write a STRONG rec for you. But I think that's a bit rude or w/e and may upset them.</p>

<p>What should I do?</p>

<p>1) Hi, I was in your ______ class. I'm applying to __________ university and since I believe that you know me very well, I hope that you would write me a recommendation. </p>

<p>don't say which class you were in; that's like assuming that they don't know you! lol</p>

<p>when i asked my teachers, i was really heartfelt, like "well, you know how much i want to go to X college, and i was hoping that since you got to know me so well over the course of last semester, that you would write me a recommendation that could get me in."
just be honest--and don't forget to be appreciative! they don't have to do this for you, so make sure that you thank them multiple times (but not to the point of annoyance).</p>
