How should I calculate GPA if I'm an internationa student?

Hi everyone! I'm a bit confused about how students in US calculate their GPA?
My school has two semesters in a year. For biology, I got 78 out of 100 on the first semester and 86 on the second, so my Biology score for the year is 82. Should I calculate GPA seperately with 78 and 86, or should I just do it with 82?

There also is a final score for grade 9 through grade 11 on my transcript(calculated regarding credits). And my final score is 85, Can I use this one for GPA?

Well, it actually depends on how your school calculates it. But I think most of them calculate the final score. (I’m an int’l too)

I have a question…

I am an international student. In academic section of CommonApp (preview) asks about best scores. Are those scores are the SAT scores or our school scores?

And also I am from public school so I didnt have any AP or IB course and credits in our semesters. What I fill there?

For SAT, ACT, TOEFL, etc.- not for school scores.

Leave it blank.

Thank you so much!
