How should I feel about my chances as a perspective transfer for the following schools?

Gettysburg College
VMI
William & Mary
Lehigh University
Wake Forest University
Allegheny College

Heres my high school record

I have a 2.5 GPA and an ACT score of 19 from high school. However much of this was due to a learning disability in mathematics as well as a rather poor performance from freshman year of high school. None the less though I managed to do decent after freshman year and my GPA showed a strong upward trend. I also took AP classes and relived AP credit on at least two AP tests. Also my extracurricular activates throughout high school can be described as very good which included a college program for credit at Cambridge University in Britain, serving as an intern or one of the Presidential Campaigns, writing on politics and history and having my work published along with much more in terms of extracurricular activates.

So I was wondering if I do well during my first year of college and maintain a good GPA(from 3.0-3.5 or over). How should I feel about my chances at the above schools? I was waitlisted at both Gettysburg and Allegheny Colleges when I applied my senior year of high school. So I figure if I do well at my first year of college I stand a strong chance of being of getting into ether of those schools.

However what is the opinion of how I should feel about getting into these schools if I preform well at my first year of college?
