I'm very unsure as to which dorm I want. I'd be very grateful if someone could help me out.

I'm a female who is actually more comfortable with males. I'm not an intense studier and I love my parties (especially "greenery," is it widely used at UCLA?). I'm out-of-state and probably looking to stay in a triple room, since it saves money. I don't think I want to join a sorority but I'd love to meet people

Well I'm going to be a freshman next year. However I already completed my housing app. It depends on what you're looking for. There are multiple categories to rank the type of housing you want. For instance, do you want a residential hall, plaza, or a suite? It seems to me that you would go for a residential hall w/ 3 ppl. Just know that the res. halls are extremely small. I'm rooming w/ 2 ppl that I know of in a plaza (hopefully) and I still think its small. A plaza is more socially isolated, but they're nice. A suite is about the same price as a plaza, but its even more isolated. A lot of athletes dorm there. Plus you also have the option of choosing a private bathroom or a shared bathroom.

If you want to be social, and have the.. 'college' experience, I'd say do a triple/double in a hall. It's cramped but you'll meet + love all the people on your floor. It's not for the faint of heart though (or those who aren't tolerable of others), but if you're willing to sacrifice some space I think that's the way to go. The suite I'm in this year has a much quieter floor, and the shared bathroom is nice, but I really miss the hall.
