Re: NYEM
Thanks, you’re givng me some confidence. Do you think Barron’s is THAT good that I should go get it? I just got a PR book. And by all the released exams, do you mean you bought them all? There’s just a free practice exam and a free released exam from 1998 on Collegeboard.

Re: XCcoasterfreak
Ha, I took honors physics and APUSH. Physics was super easy and that’s why I’m going to challenge myself this year. APUSH is kind of dumb, anyone who goes and buys flash cards (I got Barron’s 500 cards), memorizes them the week before, and can write half-way decent can get a 5. My little brother runs XC haha. I’ve never self-studied either but I feel pretty confident even if AP Physics is way harder than honors. I’m studying for the physics subject test to get it over with at the beginning of the year. I think that will give me a smoother transition into AP.

That’s a good idea. I already took it without studying and it was pretty difficult. It had a lot of concepts that my teacher didn’t even teach us. I won’t mention my score; too embarrassing for this site, lol.

And I thought Physics was really easy up to the portion on Pressure that transitioned into Pressure and E&M. My teacher took a month leave when we went into circular motion, gravitational orbits and momentum, so I’m sort of okay with those. I love roller coasters so the Mech part of C should be really fun :)

in my ap physics we hardly ever used the textbook xD. For selfstudying physics C next year though, my physics teacher gave me a physics C textbook to study until the ap next year and im also goingto get the PR review book for physics C

Fundamentals of Physics by Walker/Halliday is pretty good but a few drawbacks from my personal experience:
- Occasional flaws in their answer key and solutions
- Minimal steps to arrive at an answer; might be hard to follow for some
