Since i can't take SAT 1 and the subject tests in the same month, im having trouble deciding which one i should take in may and which one in june. I am taking ap us history and ap english in may (so im afraid i wont have enough time to study). I want to take the us history and math 2 subject tests (im thinking taking the us history subject test a week before the ap test is better than a month after). Im leaning toward taking the subject tests in may, this will give me a lot of time to study solely on the SATs. Im pretty new at taking these tests and i would appreciate it if you would offer me some feedback on how i should schedule my tests and such. thanks.

Your reasoning sounds good! Taking the history tests around the same tme makes sense. One question for you--do you think you'll have to study a lot for the math SAT 2? How about for the SAT 1?
Just keep that in mind--if you need to study for math, but feel ready for the SAT, maybe taking that in May is best. On the other hand, if you want more prep time for you SAT 1 test, go with your original plan. :)

Also--just a note--if it seems like the math isn't fitting into your schedule, you could consider taking it in October or November or something (keeping in mind that you may be busy then too, and keeping in my mind when you are applying to colleges/when your scores need to be in--if you're applying ED you'll be on a tigher schedule).

hm, well, i do feel that i would be a bit overwhelmed if i take the math test in may right next to my ap tests. But it seems like i should focus more on the SAT 1 than the math subject test and use that extra month to really get a good score.

I'm in your same situation. I want to take Chem and Bio SAT II's and the SAT I. Ultimately, i decided to take the SAT I in May to get it over with and have more time to study for the subject tests in June.
