how soon can i switch to a boarding school??

i go to public school right now and it's miserable- i'm a sophomore

i don't really know anything about boarding schools except that most of the deadlines already passed except some schools have rolling admissions?

i have good grades like mostly As and on PSATs last fall i got 65-math 66-reading 68-writing. does this sound good enough to get a merit scholarship? i really need that or some kind of financial aid- my sister is going to college next year so that's going to cost a little...

ummmm, most schools accept PSAT schores, take a few practice tests, and see how you score on that. You may want to re-apply for sophmore year becaise getting accepted as a junior is HARD. From what you've told me of your current situation, you may want to wait until next year to apply (instead of trying to make rolling)

And BS's dont often offer merit scholarships, so you may want to try for need based FA.

if i re-apply for sophomore year will colleges think i'm stupid/a slacker?

A few boarding schools offer merit aid. You will find them if you search Boarding School Review - College-Prep & Jr. Boarding Schools. However, you need to offer them something that they cannot get from their regular applicant pool.

Almost all offer financial aid. Your parents need to qualify.

taft rocks.

Okay, I nade a typs, most schools accept SSAT scores, not PSAT.
And No, I don't think colleges will find ANY fault in your your re-application for sophmore year at a boarding school.
