How soon will we hear about admission decision?

I checked Gibson (and only because I saw the post from @cruxclaire who said hers was up and she was from Chicago). I had called Admissions around Oct. 22d as Gibson showed my application was incomplete but I knew it wasn’t. When I called they said it was complete and by the next day Gibson reflected that. I had not checked Gibson since then, until today.

I am nearly positive there is no e-mail notification. Not sure why there isn’t, but that is what it is. So you either keep checking Gibson or be surprised when a paper notification shows up.

Congrats, GoodThing!

And I’ve heard from other people that the paper notification should show up about a week after it appears online.

D2 was accepted!!! YAY!!!
We are from Long Island–may not be able to post later due to hurricane
Submitted app in early September.
So excited!!!

Wahoo!!! Congrats!!!

Now we await the all important money letter…

Son accepted- public school in metro west Boston. ACT 34, GPA 3.62 and weighted 4.2
Good Luck to everyone! We are excited!

Congrats Vitrac and ShellyG! We are still waiting. I have been checking Gibson 10 times a day (is that weird? neurotic? crazy!!). Of course we are in the middle of a hurricane right now, so our power will probably go out any minute which means…no more checking on Gibson for me!

Son accepted in WA!

Went in to check Gibson to see if it reflected application was complete (Admissions had told me it was complete last week, yet son received a generic email this morning reminding him to have Counselor send in the School Report). Was not expecting to see admission decision so quickly. Now I have to hide my excitement from my son until the letter comes from Tulane - I want him to be surprised.

Good luck to all those awaiting decisions.

Thanks twoby2013! You could just suggest he log in himself… We’re still waiting here. But we will be waiting a long time after that even if my daughter gets in because matriculation will depend on scholarships.

son also accepted from CT. 3.8 UW, 4.o weighted, 34 ACT, submitted late September.

mommaMafia;

Re “You could just suggest he log in himself…”, I think my suggesting it would make him suspicious and while I appreciate getting the electronic notification, I think there is something special about opening the all important letter.

Again, best of luck to you and others.

Congratulations to everyone who’s been admitted!

I’m still waiting on a decision here in CA.

Congrats everyone! I submitted my app about 2 weeks ago and completed it about 1 week ago, still waiting for a decision of course. My application status is still marked as incomplete though.

Everyone who has been accepted so far on here has better stats than me, haha… But sometimes I feel like only people that are on this site are really smart so looking on here is a skewed sample of data. xD

Accepted in PA!! Literally so excited, Tulane is one of my top choices. I submitted the second part of my application less than two weeks ago (sent first part/transcript in mid-August) and I was just doing my periodical check to see if they’d received all of my materials yet when I saw the “Congratulations!” message!!

Kind of ironic, because we’re toughing out Hurricane Sandy up here in the Northeast where we never get hurricanes, and New Orleans (which is notorious for hurricanes!) seems to be okay!

Congrats! What other schools have you applied to, just out of curiosity?

@Bowler, thank you!! So far, besides Tulane, I’ve applied to Pitt, Alabama, and Vanderbilt. I’m working on apps for Tufts, William and Mary, U of Virginia, and Wake Forest, but I may not apply to all of them at this point

That’s a nice list! Honestly I wasn’t even planning on applying to a really good school because… I guess I wasn’t ambitious enough. But the new bowling program at Tulane attracted me. Other than Tulane I applied to the 3 state schools in Arizona. So you can tell Tulane is a huge step up from my other choices… I really hope I get in…

And good luck to you with your college apps and choosing a school!

Well thank you! And wow, Tulane is a ways away from your other schools! I can’t say I know much about the bowling program, but I’m sure it is fabulous! Best of luck to you in your search! I’m sure you’ll end up exactly where you’re supposed to be :)

Does anyone know if not having 3 years of foreign language will hurt me much? My school only offers Spanish 1 and 2. I suppose I could have taken extra language classes online but I did not think about it…
