Congrats? Why don’t you want to go?

Gah I can’t wait to find out! I applied RD the first week of October. I attended an info session about a week afterward, and since then Tulane’s been really high on my list. I applied and gave my counselor her part ASAP. I received emails every Friday from Tulane saying that they were still missing my school’s report. I figured that they were being processed. I finally asked my counselor to check, and it turns out that a blank transcript had been uploaded. She fixed that, and then oddly enough I received an email to my personal email from SENDedu–they were sent to Tulane! This was on November 17th. My application has been marked as complete for a few days (that part was REALLY fast) and now I want to know SO BAD.

I know I did RD and I could potentially be waiting 4 more months. I was just wondering–who here did RD and has heard back? Bowler? You’re from AZ.

Congrats to everyone who was accepted!

I am from AZ but I did not do RD. I applied EA. Is there any specific reason that you chose to do RD instead?

dadler94 - great news!!! Gives those who still did not hear hope…Congrats. What state are you from?

STOP THE HOPELESSNESS!! There is plenty of reason to be hopeful. It is only Nov 27th. I am really looking forward to saying “I told you so” to so many of you!

Bowler:

Honestly, no there is not. I regret not doing EA. Thanks for your reply.

Vitrac - I hope you are right!!!

Just found out yesterday about the Gibson status update feature and the many decisions already posted. Maybe too much information because now I am nervous mom! Daughter applied SCEA, wants to pursue architecture and application complete (with portfolio) I think 11/12. Still had no power at that point so later than she hoped (but before deadline). Anyone apply that late and receive acceptance already? Anyone else submitting portfolio for arch major?

Below is what my son’s Gibson account looks like as of today (copied + pasted below)- there are 9 entries - crazy. App was submitted late August + all test scores, transcript, etc. all submitted in mid September. We called and we were told that everything is in…it is this Gibson account that is the problem - which keeps changing. I think I would be less stressed if it were accurate.

Has your son called them, Bloomy? Thats really quite perplexing.

I think what is perplexing is that they cannot get this bug fixed. Again, I can only assume they are concerned that “fixing” it now might screw up all the data or something like that. I don’t get it, but based on everything that has been posted here, once you see the “complete” message, that seems to supersede the other information as far as what is correct. Still, might as well check with them again.

I would have my son call again but it would be the 3rd time an inquiry was made - he won’t want to call again in fear that he is becoming a pest! His guidance counselor called once - I would never call - never good to have “mom” involved.

Yeah, I meant that as a general comment, sorry I should have said so. In your case since they have already confirmed it is complete, no need to call again. I know the Gibson thing drives people bonkers when they are waiting for an answer, but if admissions has already confirmed it is complete, then it is.

Hi. This is my first post, although I have been following this thread for a while. Anyone hear from Ohio? We don’t know many people from our area that have applied, and have not heard of any acceptances. According to admissions counselor, D’s application was complete as of 10/25.

Exlawyermom - my D also applied EA for Arch. She got her acceptance last week but we’re still waiting for Arch decision which is separate. She’s going to call to find out how much later she will hear. Does anyone else know about the Arch acceptances?

Applejax1, we are from Ohio and haven’t heard anything yet. I know of a few others who also applied but haven’t heard. D applied at the end of October. She’s getting nervous because others have already heard. I just keep telling her they have until December 15 to let us know.

we are from RI and haven’t heard anything yet either. D applied at the end of October. Her stats are on the lower end of all those accepted already.

@exlawyermom I also applied fairly late. My application was listed as complete on 11/17 and I was accepted on 11/21

Pinkpig32 - that was the fastest response I ever heard of…they must really want you! What were your stats??

My D is not a “top tier” applicant, but certainly above average relative to published stats for the school. Her “why Tulane” essay was genuine and reflected her interest in and knowledge of the school. 6 APs, 4 honors, interned for U.S. Senator, etc. Strong recommendations. I guess we just have to wait.
