How specific does my supplement need to be?

I'm applying to CAS and in my supplement, I talk about how I want to pursue science, but I don't go into the particular field. My common app essay is all about the specific type of science I wish to study and why. Because of this, I don't feel the need to specify in my supplement. However, I still have over 100 words before I reach the maximum. What do you guys think? Add it in, or is it being repetitive?

Do your homework on Cornell’s programs and be specific about how you could utilize them and what you have to offer Cornell. You could be an undecided major in CAS, but still be specific (and enthusiastic) about Cornell. It shouldn’t be a generic essay that you could use for another university.

Don’t worry too much about word limit. Don’t fill space just to add more words. Sometimes less is more if you have stated what you want to say. Don’t ramble, it’s the kiss of death.
