Especially research-wise...

Not too sure to be honest. But I’m sure that you could make something out of it if you were willing to travel to NYC whenever you were needed.

It’s impossible to do research at the med school unless you’re doing it over winter or summer breaks. There’s great bio research going on at the Ithaca campus but if you want to do clinical research as an undergrad (which is rare), you’d be out of luck.

If you mean getting into Weill, it’s very difficult as well. Cornell is a big undergrad while Weill is a small med school. They can’t afford to interview, muchless accept, every qualified candidate. I would know
3.9/37 no interview. My friend got interviews to Harvard and Penn Med Schools but didn’t get an interview to Weill either. Guess they don’t want us back.

how do u apply for research(during the year) once u get in?

Research with the med school is only possible during the summer or winter. But if you’re lucky, you may find a faculty with dual appts in the college and the med school. OR. maybe you can find a professor with a cooperative project going on between the college and medical school.

Another good place to do research at cornell if you are pre-med is at the vet school.. I did med research at the University of Rochester Medical Center in the summer, and continued research in a similar field in canines at the Vet school.
