How stressful is Rensselaer?

I plan to be in the physician scientist program next fall. How hard and stressful are the pre-med courses at Rensselaer? I have not taken chemistry in 2 years, never took physics, and never got a 5 on any math/science AP test.

are you that indian kid from florida? you had a funny wink, right?

Could someone answer my question?

Does anyone even care? Or are you just interested in engineering stuff?

Um..it can be stressful at times, when you are bombarded with 3-4 exams in 1 week and tons of homework...but thats probably on pace with every other engineering school

Hey seg9585, are you taking pre-med courses at Rensselaer? Should I study some this summer, since I have never taken physics, took chemistry 2 years ago, and do not have a strong base in genetics? How would you compare the intensity and rigor of Rensselaer's pre-med courses to those at Rutgers, NYU, or to the regular undergraduate schools? I hope I can enjoy my next 3 years at college and not have to work my a$$ off. I have had enough episodes of working my a$$ off in high school with the IB curriculum.

Anyone else? I have to decide very soon what college to go to. It is important that I make an informed decision before messing with the most precious years of my life.

I'm an engineer and the engineering courses can be pretty stressful... I have a few friends who are pre-med along with biomedical engineering and they're handling it pretty well. I can't imagine pre-med being terrible. The only course that may give you some trouble is intro to chem.

HAHA Donnie :P you're not an engineer...you're an IMaginary Engineer :P It really just depends on how much work you do. I'm a PDI Management major, and the workload can vary, but most of the time, if you can budget your time well, you won't be as stressed as others are.

Hahaha... thanks Ed
