how strict are gpa requirements?

I have a 2.86 at a top 10 school in the US and want to study abroad in London, or anywhere that I can take courses in English that have neuroscience offerings but a few programs that I've seen, specifically the University of Sussex one, has a 3.0 cutoff. I am not proud of my gpa at all and I kind of think its sad that I've done so bad but I was wondering if anyone knows how strict they are with these cut-offs. I would wait and call on Monday but I have to tell housing if I will be on campus in the fall. so if anyone can help I would REALLLYY appreciate it.

A overwhelmed college student

I wouldn’t count on those science credits being transferred over. A lot of times US universities don’t trust universities overseas to provide the same quality of teaching in the sciences.

I’m pretty sure it would depend on the number of applicants (aka the popularity of the program). London is a pretty popular choice for study abroad so I think they would be pretty strict with the requirements since more people are applying. But apply anyway.
