How strict are the admissions for Grove School of Engineering?

I'm currently in the military. I'll be getting out (with 100% certainty) in about 18 months. When I get out I'll have been in a little over 7 years (and be 26).

My grades in high school weren't exactly the best. I think I had about a 84 average or so. My SAT score was decent at 1300 (out of 1600).

I'm currently serving as an electrical technician in the Army (went through a year long school for it) and now that I've done the practical portion of setting up power grids, power plants, etc I'm interested in learning the theory behind it all.

What do you guys think my odds of getting accepted would be?

it is competative, but u have a gud chance…gud luck

I think you have a very good chance. [Office of Undergraduate Affairs::Admissions](http://www1.ccny.cuny.edu/prospective/gsoe/OUA/admissions.cfm) says that you should have an 85 percent average but if you look at [Freshman Admission Profile - Undergraduate Admissions - CUNY](http://www.cuny.edu/admissions/undergraduate/prepare/high-school-students/freshman-profile.html) you will see the people who had an 88 average at CCNY only had an 1145 SAT score. Your 1300 SAT score will certainly help you. Good luck.
