How strict is the word limit for supplemental?

<p>Long story short, one of my supplemental essays is 254 words, and the limit is 250. </p>

<p>Is this really a big deal? Is it alright if I go over the limit by four words? The essay is perfect as it is, so I don't really want to change or reword anything.</p>

<p>If it is on Common App it won’t let you submit it if the essay is over the limit. </p>

<p>If it isn’t common app, then you should still cut out 4 words. It’s only 4 words; I’m sure you can figure something out. The limit is the limit.</p>
