<p>I have to disagree with mattwonder. Anything below a 3.0 = no job? I don’t think so…</p>
<p>well, generally speaking, it looks pretty bad</p>
<p>quite a few companies have minimum gpa requirements listed in their job postings on pennlink, for example; many list a 3.0, some have 3.4, 3.5, 3.6 minimum</p>
<p>Graduating from engineering with less than a 3.0 and starting off in engineering with the prospect of less than a 3.0 are two different things. If you are still early on in your college career, and you recognize that it is unlikely you will break the 3.0 mark, and are not dead-set on studying a topic, it may be time to explore some others. </p>
<p>And I’m never one to focus too much on grades, but in this case I stand by my 3.0 mark. It’s definitely the tipping point where below a 3.0 and job options rapidly disappear.</p>
