How strong is UCSB Econ&Acct. program?

My goal is to get a CPA license and work at a public accounting firm. My current top choices are UCI and USC, because I llive in OC and I'm not a big fan of UCLA/UCB.

Couple days ago, I was accepted to UCSB econ & acct
program, but.I dont really know about their program.

If I have to decide between UCI Bus admin. and UCSB, which would be a better choice?

Also, do Big 4 and mid-tier acct firms strongly recruit at UCSB?

UCSB is a major target school for all Big 4 accounting firms. Lots of mid-tier firms also recruit from UCSB. There are several big events both for internships and full time employment during the year.

The accounting association at UCSB is very active, with guest speakers and events. I don’t know much about UCI or USC’s accounting programs.

Heres a link to the UCSB accounting association website: [University of California, Santa Barbara - Accounting Association](http://www.econ.ucsb.edu/~aawww/aaonline/)

You can actually look at all the firms that recruit, and events, membership info, etc.

Good luck.

Thank you so much! I’ll definitely check out the link as soon as I get home.

May I ask your GPA? I’m still waiting for UCSB. I’m applying for the same major as you.

UCSB def ha a good Econ Program. I wanna work for Deloitte one day so i was excited about getting into UCSB

My GPA is 3.94. (Not very strong EC/above average (IMO) personal statements - but I heard UCSB doesn’t look at personal statements)
