how TAG works?

so i wanted to know how TAG works for UCs.My issue is that I finished IGETC but my GPA is way too low:3.01.I'm interested in UCSD's chemistry pharmeceutical program.I have only done 2 chemistry classes.I'll start calculus this Fall.I'm sensing UCSD won't accept me but my counselor makes it sound that I have a chance.I want to know form transfer students how was you transfer experience like, especially those who major in chemistry.

All you need to is to have a 3.0, IGETC, and finish english/math by fall. Then click the TAG button when you send your application in.

I am just warning you that you might be in for more than 3 years since you plan to only have g-chem and 1 year of calculus done (and no physics?). Sure it feels good to transfer, but you can stay a whole another year at your CC, save thousands of $$ and transfer next year.

to ITransfer:well I plan to add physics since I wasn’t able to register for it this Fall.I just plan to finish about half of the lower division courses at CC and finish the other half at UCSD if i do get accepted.

It will take you a year or more to finish the other half at UCSD when you can do it all your CC for a low price. It is your choice though.

@ray7863: Note that you must also complete a “TAG Application” and file it within the September deadline to be eligible. I have listed the link below for your convenience.
