How the AP Calculus test has changed over the years?

So I’m taking AP Calculus AB in my upcoming junior year this year (2015-2016) among other AP’s and I’m super anal about preparing early for everything so I’m on the hunt for the best AP prep books at the moment and I heard a really good review about one from someone who is very intelligent and got 5’s on every AP exam he took and I trust his opinion a lot. However, he took the exam a while ago, I’m not sure when to be honest but definitely at least a couple years ago and the AP prep book he highly recommended was obviously also from a while ago, the version is from 2007. I know that sounds really old so I was wondering if it will still be very helpful and useful to me for the AP test this upcoming year. My current perspective is that the branch of calculus can’t change that much so the information should still be accurate and relevant right? But I would like to know if the actual format and focus of information on the AP test has changed at all because I should probably be aware of that if I go through with getting this book, it’s also kind of expensive and I’m even planning to buy it used too so anyone’s fresh perspective and sophisticated opinion is greatly appreciated (:

I took the AB and BC exams back in 2010 and 2011 (scored 5s on both), and tutored a calculus student last year, and I don’t think much has changed. There are changes coming in the 2016-2017 year, described [here](https://advancesinap.collegeboard.org/stem/calculus/key-changes). However you probably won’t need to worry about this unless you are taking BC, and even then, the changes are fairly minor and shouldn’t affect anything if you understand the material.

I’m also taking AP Calc AB as a junior next year, so maybe we could collaborate and share some study tips throughout the year.
