Surprisingly, it was more relaxed than I had thought. I expected a student but she didn't take notes or ask any tough questions. She did one heck of a job selling WashU though.... I really hope I get in. Their campus is ridiculously beautiful and I'm usually not impressed by buildings. I think if I get rejected it'll be something like the one that got away.

I'm not surprised they get some 20,000 applications. Does anyone have stats on their ED acceptance rate...? because their RD acceptance rate scares me.

Yeah, I got the assistant admissions director for an interview and it was great! The campus is gorgeous...even when there is rain and muggy weather.

Yeah they don't disclose it. But 28% is probably a decent estimate. I would've guessed they accept about 30%, defer/wait-list 40%, and deny 30%. Maybe they don't want to disclose the information because they don't want everyone to know that the chances of getting in are much better ED. They probably don't want to get flooded with apps in the ED pool. Plus, I would guess that on average, students in the ED pool are a bit less competitive, so that makes the higher acceptance rate more significant.

But take what I say with a grain of salt. Because after all, I'm only a 17 year old kid who applied ED. I really know nothing about it.
