How the new SAT is looked upon

Do you think that most colleges will consider the new SAT to just be the old one (math, verbal) + the SAT II Writing test? Or will they factor in the whole test in admissions (while many schools only used to use the SAT II Writing for placement), considering the writing score as important as others?

As a side question, can anyone tell me how hard the writing SAT II was to study for compared to, say, the Verbal section of the old SAT? I got a 700 in Verbal when I took the SAT without studying last year as a sophomore (I did worse than I should have in math, 670, but I'll probably score higher this time around as I plan on reading the questions more carefully and get 780-800 on practice tests) - do most people have writing scores about the same, higher, or lower than their old SAT Verbal scores?
