Hey everyone!
I recently got waitlisted to UCD as a transfer student, and was curious as to how the overall waitlist at Davis is looking. From all of my current senior friends (soon to be freshmen), they told me that UCD happened to waitlist/reject a ton of people this year. Is this true? Please let me know. Thanks!
As they do every year. It would seem that they waitlisted less people than the year prior however, since the UC budge issue has already been stabilized and they had already stated that the UCs as a whole, will enroll a couple of thousand more students.
Nobody here can tell you or even approximate how many people will be taken off the waitlist and at this point, even the people working at admissions aren’t sure since they’ll need to wait until May 1st to see how many people have submitted their SIRs to Davis. If a lot of people who were directly accepted decide to enroll in the school, then most of the people will be SOL, however, if most of those people decide not to enroll/enroll elsewhere, chances are, they’ll accepted quite a few people off of the waitlist.
