I am so curious how much time these people spend Sprouling, flyering, etc... in the last 2 weeks. Do they still go to class?

Very time consuming of course! Do I need to tell you the answer to such an obvious question :P?

i know its time consuming but how time consuming? lol

What are the benefits? All I see is resume padding and bureaucracy. Also being annoying to people.

I went to the ASUC presidential “debate” in Unit 3 yesterday. It was weak. I agree with GeneralWisdom, that’s all I see as well.

And at the debate, both candidates basically said the same things, and the other 2 didn’t even show up :/.

The ASUC is probably on the path to bankruptcy (again)…

Sad, but true:
In 1998 the ASUC had a $6 million deficit and nearly went bankrupt. The university bailed them out by covering the deficit.

It seems like a popularity contest more than anything… people just vote for whoever they know

Really time-consuming, I’d say about 15-20 hours each week including the actual flyering/tagging/Facebooking and collaborating among your campaign team. Something I noticed this year (maybe it’s new) are the Youtube music videos endorsing candidates.

I usually vote by party. Sometimes I seriously can’t tell whether or not SQUELCH candidates themselves are making fun of the whole election process.

I don’t think its about how time consuming it is as much as it is how many friends (and the type) you can make.
