How to access the wait-lists of various colleges

<p>I'm presuming posters send in their wait-list status as well as GPA and other stats somewhere on CC for the benefit of us hopefuls planning to apply this fall?</p>

<p>If so, how would I find this info? </p>

<p>I'm asking because someone referred to it in a response.</p>

<p>Or is there another website I could go to to find out what sorts of GPA/test scores are being waitlisted?</p>

<p>Or do the colleges themselves post their wait-list info (no names, of course) on their websites for others to view? Somehow, I can hardly believe that.</p>

<p>1) if it's a CC user populated data set, you'll definitely get a skewed list, dontcha think?
2) no school would release this -- they probably don't compile this either. What for?
3) the metrics of kids on a wait list most likely closely mimic the list of those offered admissions. Most ultra-selective colleges have many multiples of "qualified" students that apply. They offer admission to some, and they WL many others. Intuitively, the metric differences would be negligible I'd say.</p>
