How to ace SAT Math section hard problems at end?

I am having difficulty reaching the last two problems of 2/3 Math sections. And when I do reach them, They are too hard to usually solve within the 4 remaining minutes. I score around 630-690 on Math, with a 630 on actual test. I am aiming for above 700-720.

Please don't tell me Dr. Chungs, unless you have a free ebook that I can have in exchange for something.

Does anyone know the true key to scoring really high on math(near perfect), i can breeze through the first 15 questions without error.

I got an 800 on the sat math section by taking about 30 seconds per question for the first 10 or so then about a minute per for the last ones. Remember that the sat loves to throw trick questions in the test so make sure you read very carefully and underline any number in the question

I will try that EsotericalApp ^ Thanks!

Here is an excerpt from my newsletter that I think might be helpful for you. I had to delete some of it to comply with this forum’s rules, but hopefully it will still be useful:

Here’s an important piece of advise that many 650-700 students
fail to do. Failing to do this keeps many students that are
capable from getting an 800. Good math students fall into the
trap of doing those last couple of questions on a math section
like they would in school. Very often they get tricked. Now when
they look it over their mistake seems “obvious” and they just
assume it’s a careless error, and don’t think about how they
could have done the problem differently. This will keep
happening over and over because those last couple of problems in
the section are unique, and will likely never be seen again on
any SAT. This is one reason why *. For the 700 student, this means on those last couple of hard questions. As a simple example, if
question number 20 has letters in the answer choices, DO NOT try
to solve this question using algebra. Use

I’m prohibited from putting the rest.

Let me address one other issue that you had. If you are a strong math student, and you find yourself running out of time, then this means that you are not using the most effective strategies on many problems. You need to make sure that you know all the SAT specific math strategies, and you need to practice applying them during the right questions.

Best of luck!

Also, unfortunately we can’t give away free e-books through this site.

Good post!
