They have unique advantage of good undergrad education from Rice and Baylor and then good medical education at Baylor Medical School.Top tier students with options who doesn’t get into either, often prefer go for good undergrad schools and then some good traditional MD program, instead of going to other BS/MD programs offered in Texas like Texas Tech, UT San Antonio etc. Baylor Medical School and UT Southwestern are Texas’s only desirable medical schools with national and international recognition.
