How To "Ace" Your Interview...I finished the comic!

Hey everyone, I don't know if you remember when I posted this thread, http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-confidential-cafe/420061-how-screw-up-college-interview.html, where I was asking for ideas about how to screw up a college interview because I was working on making a comic for it.

Well, I finished the comic! I actually finished it a while ago, but I got caught up in other things, and then I was wondering how I should post it...I suppose this will have to do. :)

Let me remind you that this was just for fun, and I know it's not perfect. The image is a little big, but when it was small it was hard to read the text. So enjoy! Let me know what you think.

http://www.catsushiart.com/images/howtoaceyourcollegeinterview.jpg

That is really good. You are incredibly talented. I am truly impressed.

P.S.-Is there no mouth in the first box on purpose?

Oh, yes, I suppose there isn't a mouth, hm?

My art is based off of japanese comics (manga), and sometimes there are panels where characters have no mouths, noses, or even eyes in order to bring about a certain effect. In this case, I guess I liked the effect of the character being somewhat speechless. :)

Thank you!

haha that's cool. did you draw that on the computer? also, i was browsing your website, and I was SO SURPRISED that you are not asian ahahah.

First I sketched the comic out, and scanned it, and then I inked it on Photoshop. Then I used different layers to color it and add text. What I love about it is that if you mess up, you can always press "undo". :D

Yes, I am very much white. I'll take your comment as a compliment, though. Thanks, art_star!

Your website is also very nice. I clicked on the link to the boyfriend picture and was a bit confused for a minute.

^^HAHAHA. I completely forgot about that. I need to fix that, because I broke up with the guy I used to call 'bf'. No, I'm not really dating Bruce Lee, because he's dead, and was married anyway (to a white woman, I may add!).

beautiful comic -I like your artwork a lot ^-^ love the sweater vest w/ leather pants!

im a big fan of Photoshop too. Only that i haven't been keeping up with it good enough in HS.

oh and i was reading your thread for ideas. For one more way to screw up an interview would be asking the opposite-sex interviewer 'do you have a bf/gf?' Haha i almost felt like doing it but refrained.

^^Haha yeah, that's a good one, hitting on the interviewer...(I read your post, lol). Don't worry, there will be other hot interviewers out there for you. ;D

Thanks!

I love it.
So good!

I forgot to add- one thing that I especially noticed were the backgrounds. They were really colorful and truly added to the picture. So again, good job!

WOW! Your really good!

that was really nice! Beautiful coloring and everything, funny also. Anymore in the works?

Unfortunately, there are no more comics that are currently in the works. I'm very busy with my IB classes and swimming. However, around April I would like to share a 10 page comic I made, which I feel is a lot more intricate and less sloppy than this one.

Thank you for all your kind words, everyone!

I'll think about making another comic...just gotta find the right inspiration. :)
