<p>So I am applying ED to Columbia and I've been working on my supplements. For the section under list your favorite entertainments over the past year I was thinking of putting down many foreign movies and shows(Bollywood, Japanese, Korean, etc.) Is this okay or should I give background about them? I am worried that they will not understand some of the entertainment on my list. How should I go about this?</p>

<p>List the films, concerts, shows, exhibits, lectures and other entertainments you enjoyed most in the past year. (150 words or less)</p>
<p>Even though they say ‘list’, I’d make some commentary since there is a little room. I’m pretty sure everyone understands the concept of Bollywood and foreign film, but if you can briefly illuminate your interest or the subject that’s good.</p>
<p>Right, make it interesting- meaning make yourself interesting. Not to worry, they will know what Bollywood, et al, are.</p>
