How to answer the "what was your SAT score" question?

I just tell them the truth: 1860. But usually they think I’m lying because they all got 1500’s.

Just tell people your score who gives a ****.
^And on the contrary, most people on CC think you’re lying because most of them don’t get close to that…I did worse than that though… :</p>

Some people I know are graduating high school and are into college and still refuse to say what their SAT score is because they’re so “ashamed” of it… seriously, who cares? It’s a test that measures how good you are at taking said test. Not how intelligent you are.

Oh wait, I guess the OP’s not in college. Misread his/her question.

Don’t worry, once you get into college, no one cares :).
(PS- I don’t even remember my SAT score)

^^ Yup. I was deemed a ■■■■■ for putting up a chances thread for Harvard. They said I was impaired or something and that my SAT score was “horrid.”

^^ “Impaired” with an 1860? Uhhh, maybe to Harvard, but DEFINITELY not to the vast majority of U.S. high school students…

Tell them your score + 33 and amend a H to the end. So if you got a 2100, tell them you got a 2133-H.

^That’s actually a good Idea.

Just say it’s personal.

Just say it’s over 9000.

just say, listen, i dont tell people my sat scores, it personal. if they keep bugging you, just tell’em to go a way, cause you’re a locked door without a key

Like it or not, the SAT is “the” indicator of intelligence for high schoolers. That’s how it is at my school at least.

Anyways, I’m proud of my score, so I tell them I got a 2240 because I did lol

Just say you got somewhere between a 0 and a 2400.

^600-2400*

I tell them i got a 2240, because I messed up on the Critical Reading and Writing. I definitely think that the SAT is too weighted towards English and language topics and not enough towards math and science.

^ So take the ACT…

Isn’t that between 0 and 2400?

nope. the minimum score for each section is 200
the joke goes that you get 600 points just for writing your name =]

Ok, but I’m pretty sure [600,2400] ⊂ [0,2400]

Oh, it’s totally possible to get something under 200. You can even get close to zero, but you’ll have to make sure you get every questions wrong, which in turns means that you’ll kind of have to know what the right answers to the questions are in order to be able to avoid picking them.

when did this happen?
