Helloooo. I'm a soon-to-be senior who is (obviously) planning to apply to NYU.
I'm an international student living in America and am attending a public high school in the New England area.
I came to America just a year ago, and I'm trying to cram as many AP and Advanced courses as possible.
I currently have about a B+ to A- average, which I plan to bring up first semester of my senior year.
I took the SAT once, which I scored a 2100 on. I plan to take it again this October, and I'm aiming for a 2200-2300 ish score. I also have a 800 on SAT II Math 2. I took USH and Bio too, which I did terribly on (yay for extreme procrastinating). I plan to take the two again in November.
I want to apply to NYU Early Decision 2, because I'm assuming that I will have stronger scores and transcripts to submit by then.
I have several ECs; considering the fact that I came to America just a year ago from a non-English speaking country, I have more than average including a leading position in numerous Math ECs, Model UN, Student Congress (which I'm guessing I'll have a leading position in), and Tennis. I also have done volunteer work.
So the real question is, how do I apply as a Math major? I've tried perusing the NYU online site, but I can't find a way to directly apply. For instance, under the 'Undergraduate Programs' on this link (Undergraduate Education), there is no option for the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences. On the Courant site, it offers Major/Minor declarations for CAS, Stern or Tisch students. Is the only way to major in Mathematics at NYU by applying to CAS and then declaring math as your major later?
I'm sorry if my ignorance or lack of knowledge regarding the admissions process irritates you; I assure you that this irritates me just as much.
So, to put it simply, how do I apply as a math major at NYU? I plan to double major in Mathematics and Cinema Studies (Tisch), and if this is the case, how should I prepare for the application process?
And lastly, just to put it out there, do I even have a chance of getting in to NYU? This is just a commentary-ish thing, there is absolutely no need to answer this. Just a nervous junior's query!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read/ answer my questions!!

The Courant Institute is a department within the College of Arts and Science, so if you would like to apply as a math major, then you would apply to CAS. While you’re filling out your Common Application and NYU Supplement, you would mark that you’re applying to CAS as a Math major. As far as I know, there is no direct application to the department, as that isn’t the case for any major.

Edit: The link you provided gives a list of all the colleges within NYU. Try thinking of the Courant Institute as simply the “math” part of CAS, just as the Economics department would be the economics part.

Thank you so much for your answer!
So if I want to double major in Cinema Studies and Mathematics, could I still do that by applying to CAS? For instance, let’s say I got really lucky and got into CAS, and pursued a major in Mathematics. How would I declare a double major in Cinema Studies by the end of sophomore year, since that major is in another school?
