When you apply online, you have to download forms, fill them out, and send to universities online, right? but what can you do about the recommendation and other forms such as high school transcript? since you have to give your teachers the recommendation forms to fill out, how do you send it electronically? I am confused, please help. thanks

You don't send it electronically. You print out the rec forms, get your teachers to fill them out and give them an addressed and stamped envelope for them to send the recs with.

The HS transcript should be send by your school itself. You make a request for transcripts and give your counselor the names of the schools and addresses for them to send them to.

It seems a bit complicated, but it's really not. Good luck. =]

thank you for the reply, but i am still confused. so do you mean there is no way to send it "online" (electronically)? then, why i see some websites have the link that says "send your app online"? hope to see reply. thanks

lol.. I'm guessing you're international? ;]

Okay, so this is how it works. There are 3 types of applications (a pdf file you print out, the type they send home, the type you do online -- but all are exactly the same and online is the best way because it's simple), and an application is basically where they ask you a bunch of questions like who you are, where you're from, who your parents are, your history, short questions, essay, etc. The best thing to do is to do this online. You click the "online application" link and fill out the form and send it online. You just click submit after you pay for it online with a credit card.

Then what you do is look for "supplemental documents" which are things like the teacher recommendation form and this is all SEPERATE from the application, but very important. You send those by normal mail after you send your application electronically.

Then you send your SAT and TOEFL score (if you're international) from the testing agencies themselves.

ok, that helps. thank you!

well then how come a few forms have sections/colums asking us for our score....

What...?

What score are they asking for?

They do ask you for your TOEFL, SAT, ACT, scores and dates you took them, etc.

But you still have to send the scores from the testing agencies.

well why do they ask for the scores then.. whats the point if we gonna send it thru teh agencies anyway...

Because it's sent AFTER.

Bah, just answer the questions and do what tell you to. Follow the instructions exactly and you'll be fine. Don't ask why, colleges don't care.

lol its such a confusing process.

Enn you did a good job explaining =)
