I'm honestly so overwhelmed by the US school admissions process - mostly because I really don't understand it in comparison to the Canadian one I'm familiar with. I'm looking to apply next year to NYU, UCLA, UC Berkeley, Columbia, Brown and Cornell for business undergrad programs. I haven't taken the SATs yet, but I'm finishing 11th grade and will take prep courses in the summer. The whole GPA to canadian average thing confuses me as well, if I have roughly a 90% average what kind of GPA is that equal to? As well, do I even have a shot at the schools I've listed above with that kind of average, pretty solid essays and very good extracurriculars/volunteering? I have no idea what kind of score I could get on the SATs, but I imagine I could do relatively well. Thank you so much for any help/advice!

A 90% average would not get you into McGill’s Desautels business school. Their minimum is 93%.

You seem to have selected your American schools based on prestige only. Columbia, UCLA and Brown do not offer undergraduate business. do some more research and aim lower.
