Im confused on how to apply to Cornell through the common application.

What do I do?

Figuring out the Common App website is actually the entrance exam for those colleges. I’d help you, but it’d be cheating.

Lol… first make a common app account at commonapp.org. Then on the left hand side click, my colleges. Then click “search for colleges.” Search for Cornell, then add it to the list. Then work on filling out all the tabs on the left.

I hope that made sense…

I think you should fill out the application first. Add Cornell as one of the school. Make sure you also select the button on the left of the school before you hit the submit button. Also don’t forget to check the supplement section. There is also a payment section. Make sure you pay. Otherwise if it’s too confusing, send in a paper application.

how would I use a fee waiver online? or is there an option that says I’ll be paying with a fee waiver?

also can I turn in the regular application online and the supplement on paper? if not, how can my teachers make recomendations online?

I’m almost positive about this: you hit submit with your application all filled out, then you like check over it, then hit submit again, then you pay: at this point you use your fee waiver number. I’m pretty sure.. but does anyone else know ?

And I would suggest just turning in the supplement online. Teacher recommendations are done on paper: print off the form from the “school forms” tab.

I think the above post is correct. That is what I remember when I sat next to my daughter applying for Comm App.

but for cornell you have to send in a letter from the counselor asking for a fee waiver…how would i get the #

It’s too late. Most high schools are on break. You should plan this ahead if you know you need fee waiver.
