How to ask a teacher for only ONE recommendation letter?

So I've already asked 2 teachers to write the recommendation letters that go out to all the colleges I'm applying to -- One Math and one Physics.
I just realized I have one college that requires 3 teachers, and they HAVE to be English, History, or Foreign Language teachers.

How do I ask a teacher to write me a rec letter for just ONE college? I feel like it's so awkward, like "oh.. I don't want you to actually write me a rec.. But it's kind of required for this one college soo.. can you just write one...." haha

Please help! I have to ask tomorrow! Thanks :)

Which college requires 3 recommendations?

Ask your GC.

It’s for an accelerated med program.

I’m just asking how I should approach the teacher. Like what should I actually say to her so the situation isn’t awkward

You’re premed and have math and physics LoRs. Why can’t you simply tell the 3rd teacher that school x also requires a letter from a humanitites teacher? Pretty much as you worded it here. I doubt anyone would take offense. A rec is a rec whether it ends up at 5 colleges or one. I think you’re ok.

I don’t know why are making it such a big deal , it’s not
offensive at all .

Pick a Eng, SS, Foreign Lang teacher you liked and you think knows you well. While they might not know your major, they know you as a student and your attributes. Hand em a resume, and let them craft something.

An English teacher (esp a nicer one) might have the most influential letter even if they aren’t knowledgable the least bit about anatomy.

Okay, thanks guys. I guess I just thought it’d be offensive that I’m just getting a rec only because it’s required, and not actually asking them to write my main rec. But I’m sure the teachers have been through stuff like that before and it’s not a big deal. Thanks:)
