No, I was really stressed at the beginning of the year, and ended up losing 6 lbs in a week and a half because I couldn't eat. I started eating eventually, but only some of the weight's come back. I guess I was kind of doing the opposite of the freshman fifteen. And no one could understand why I was upset that I was losing weight; it's not healthy.

Just work out. It does wonders and it helps with the stress.

lol @ you guys. Everyone knows that you can't avoid the freshman 15 without hydroxycut and cell tech.

I don't trust any "patented formula" whose biochemical pathway I can't look up and study. I mean, if it's patented, why are they so hesitant to release the biochemical mechanisms to us? I mean, we (were) AP students. :p

Careful use of 2,4-Dinitrophenol along with plenty of air-conditioning, ice packs and water is the hardcore way to go. I mean, it directly targets cellular respiration. You can't get more hardcore than that.

i have a question about gyms/fitness centers at colleges...do people blast music? because i prefer to listen to my ipod, but at my high school's weight room the wrestlers are always blasting their (not to my taste) music so i can barely hear my own music. lol so do people bring their own music at college or impose their tastes on others? because that's the main reason i hate the weight room...

The weight room I used to go to had one central ancient stereo that would typically play "modern"-ish rock and it was fairly non-objectionable to most people in there. It was never so loud that if you wanted to listen to something else you couldn't.

RacinReaver's weight room is similar to the one at my college. They also play music in the pool room, but you can barely hear it over the splashing.

Also, I'm gained 5 pounds since I last checked my weight. I'm staying optimistic and saying it's because I'm getting the muscle-weight I never had.

Don't get a meal plan if you're not required to and do the shopping yourself. I find myself just getting by on 2 meals a day instead of the usual 3 when I have to cook or buy everything I eat. Plus you find ways to improvise because everything you eat, you have to lug in from the store. Some days, I'd feel so lazy I didn't even want to bother making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Re: stressting yourself out-this is a double edged sword because some people gorge themselves on food when they're stressed.
