How should I go about my education if I want to study CPA, and if I have a bachelor’s degree in business management(it was taught in a different language in a foreign country) and zero work experience?
If becoming CPA doesn’t seem realistic, what should I do? Should I try to get into an MBA program?
I think you path is a little difficult, but still possible to obtain a CPA. Look into some of the accounting certificate curriculums at four year universities. Santa Clara University, some of the UC’s in the West Coast offer an accounting certificate that might qualify you to take the CPA exam. I am sure there are universities in your local area (U.S.) that offer the same thing. Check your state’s board of accountancy requirements to take the CPA exam. In general you need a certain minimum units in accounting plus an extra 30 semester or 45 quarter units beyond the normal 4 years bachelors degree or essentially 5 years of college work. This extra year can be fulfilled with a Masters degree or a 1 year accounting certificate or credits from AP tests taken in high school and community college courses.
In another thread you said you’re a high school junior. If you’re sharing your account with a family member, they need to get their own ID. If you’re a high school graduate, you can’t enroll in a NYS high school and you should withdraw. If you’re a college graduate, you can’t apply to our colleges as a freshman.
