<p>You would need to go to law school. It can be a tough position to break into at first, especially in the absence of "sports connections". An undergrad program in sports management or business, with an opportunity for internships with sports associations is a good route to take. Try contacting the colleges offering internships and organizations that you are interested in - ask for the personnel department, or public relations...be persistent and you may find yourself with your first client...success with that one leads to another...</p>
