<p>Well… Professors can be found at universities… so you might start there.</p>
<p>Just ask a professor at a nearby university, or talk to an AP teacher.</p>
<p>Start with your HS resources. Get books on various colleges, and go to college and dept websites. Just like doing research for a paper.</p>
<p>don’t do research for the sake of doing research as an activity (it won’t be fun). if you truly find something you’re interested in then by all means pursue it. hopefully when you contact professors or potential mentors they will see that genuine interest. *make sure you do your basic research on the topic first before contacting them.</p>
