How to better my chances of getting into Penn State UP?

<p>I'm a high school senior now and I'm really kicking myself in the face for waiting so late to try and better my chances of getting into college. My stats are pretty average and I need some ideas on how to improve them and be more unique in my college app</p>

<p>GPA: 3.76
SAT: 1440 (so crappy i know)
ACT: 20
I'm actually so embarrassed at my test scores but I'm taking them again in October so hopefully I score higher this time. </p>

<p>I've been on honor roll on and off for the past 3 years </p>

<p>Last year I took American History Honors and Spanish 3 honors and was inducted into the World Language Honors Society
this year I'm taking Physics honors, AP English, AP Gov & Politics, and Spanish 4 honors. I also plan on signing up for some clubs and doing way more volunteer work.</p>

<p>Does anyone have any advice? And please don't be mean I'm hard enough on myself, like you wouldn't believe. </p>

<p>Try to get around a 1900 on your SAT and/or 26+ on your ACT… your GPA is fine though, so when you improve your SAT you’ll be fine! Try some SAT or ACT prep if it’s hard to improve your score… Barren’s has great books :)</p>
