How to bring my Math score up?! help!

So Im practicing averaging around 720+ on both CR and writing which is just dandy for me.

But my Math is killing me. Im like mid 500's.

According to my score report stuff I am getting bassically 100% of the easy qwuestions right and all the basic knowlecge questions right, and most of the mediums

but i just cant stop failing on the hard ones.

Any tips whatsoever?

What math class are you in? It usually depends on what you’ve learned.

The hard SAT math questions don’t require great mathematical knowledge, more of like the ability to apply different concepts. Just practice, practice, practice and practice. There’s no other way. Familiarize yourself with the kind of questions. If you don’t know the concept, learn it and then practice.

i was in your position too and my mom just forced me to learn the concepts…get the blue book and do all of the math.

when ever you get a question wrong, figure out why and remember it. quality of quantity.

you have to understand the concept that it;s trying to test you…grasp the knowledge and apply in the neccessary situation.

don;t try the loopholes or process of elimanation. for most of the questions on the sat you can set up some sort of equation, no matter how hard or how easy, and after you setup the equation (the hard part is setting up that equation the right way) the question becomes a lot easier.

none of it is hard, it just depends on how hard you make on your self.

and if you can do that you should be fine…like the previous post…practice practice practice…

good luck

Thanks alot guys.

I just got the blue book now, so I’m gonna take your advice. thanks.
