On the April ACT I scored a 29 (33M, 28R, 27E, 27S) I would really like to improve this to a 33. For math, I'm not worried about getting a 36 because I feel I can do it. As for reading I felt a lot better on the April test as opposed to the February test where I scored a 23. However, I don't know what else to do. Science is quite difficult, but I always seem to get confused and make mistakes and not able to finish the entire section.
What new techniques should I use to improve my score?

Ahh im like literally in the same boat as you but with flipped math/english scores!

I want to get it!!!

I’ve heard that getting up 45 minutes earlier than you usually do will ensure that you’re awake by the time you start taking the ACT, and to get your brain more active you should read something during that time (which will help a lot with the reading section). Reading anything will help, but it would probably be better if you read something that will make you think and make your mind more active, such as an essay by Thoreau or The Last of the Mohicans.

^on those books, you have got to be kidding me. those will put you right back to sleep.

please say you’re joking

I must note that studying has helped me a lot based on practice test results. My english score has went up four points from reviewing everything they said in the Princeton Review book and then taking four practice tests.

Hoping to do the same for the math section.

I admit that a lot of parts in those books would put you to sleep, but there actually are parts that were interesting enough to keep me up late when I was reading. And if someone can read something like that early in the morning, then they wil be able to read anything on the ACT.
