<p>how do you calculate High School Academic GPA?</p>
<p>You only count letter grades of core academic courses and multiply those by appropriate
4, 3, 2. Then, you divide the sum by number of core academic classes.</p>
<p>Is that how to do it?</p>

<p>Is this for self reporting? You may have to also multiply and divide by credits for the class (regular class worth three credits vs. 1/2 year class worth 1.5 credits). You should also ask whatever school is requiring this info what they consider academic classes.</p>
