How to calculate ACT composite score?

Hope you guys did well on December ACT :)
I have a question here!</p>

<p>When I calculate ACT composite score
Is it ok to take average with english/writing score instead of just english score?</p>

<p>Coz I got 24 for my english and 26 for my english/writing score :(</p>

<p>I wonder how colleges calculate...</p>
