how to calculate the difference between two vectors?

what is the absolute value of the diffrence between them, |A - B|=?
and what is the direction of | A-B | (counterclock wise from the X-axis)?</p>

<p>i and j are on separate axes. If you’re thinking of using the Pythagorean theorem or something, don’t bother. It’s just simple addition.</p>

<p>I think it’s ACT or SAT subject-level appropriate…might not be an actual question since they wouldn’t ask several questions on vectors in one test.</p>
