<p>Your school should be the one calculating your GPA. </p>
<p>For your information, though, it is basically calulated the way you would guess. Each grade has a corresponding value (A: 4.000; A-: 3.667; B+: 3.333; B: 3.000; etc.). Each class you take should have a certain number of credits. To calculated GPA, take the number value of each grade multiplied by the number of credits for that class and divide by the total number of credits.</p>
<p>that's like a college scale, not all schools work like that, a lot of schools just say any kind of A is a 4, any B is a 3, etc....</p>

<p>on our transcripts they only list a weighted gpa on a 5.0 scale, is that what I should put down, or do I need to recalculate on my own with a 4.0 scale?</p>
<p>Write down your GPA as it appears on your transcript. Your school should inform the college of the scale and the calculation methods. That would be my thoughts, at least.</p>
