When you are in high school as a junior and submitting apps in the fall as a senior, what counts for your gpa? For weighted gpa do you count all 4 years? I know some schools only look at sophomore and junior year for your gpa but I still see people including their senior year with their gpa so I’m sorta confused… Also is there a difference between A’s and A-'s? Thanks for the help!
What does your high schools transcript say? That’s the number you should be using, not something you may incorrectly calculate yourself.
Depends upon which schools you are applying. For the common application, my son used his academic weighted GPA for 9-11th grades. For the California UC’s/CSU’s, their is a specific UC/CSU GPA calculation that is used and he submitted this GPA.
Both of the above answers are correct. If a college wants you you recalculate your GPA (like UC) they will tell you, and they will tell you how to do it. In all other cases, take the GPA from your transcript.
Other than getting your transcript from the office how can you view it?
If you have some sort of online portal, you may be able to view your unofficial transcript there. If your school sends out a paper mid-term or end of term report card/progress report, look to see if your GPA is noted there.
If not, it seems you would need to request your transcript from the office.
