<p>Call the admission offices of each of the universities you applied to and tell them you want your application evaluated under a different major. Since they haven’t started evaluating applications for transfer students you should be okay, but it would be in your best interest to do it as soon as possible. I knew someone that did this last year and they were fine, but something that could be a hang up are your personal statements. Obviously, one of the prompts was to write about your major, for the campuses that do holistic reviews like Berkeley, UCLA, and UCI your prompt isn’t going to match the major you applied for and could put you at a disadvantage. For the other UCs you should be fine. You could also attempt to change you major after you transfer, but that would be riskier.</p>
