So, this may seem like a dumb question, but how will I check my admissions decisions? I applied Regular Decision to Vanderbilt, Columbia, Stanford, and UNC. Will their admissions decisions be added to the application status page? Or do they send an email? The in-state schools that I got into just added the decision to the application status page and didn't send emails until several days later. Is it different for these schools? Or not?

I think Columbia is a portal, Vanderbilt is a portal, UNC is a portal, and Stanford is an email. It varies from school to school, you’ll have to do research to find out for sure. Usually they send you an email before, letting you know how you’ll find out.

Stanford has a online request form:
https://axess.sahr.stanford.edu/application-status

@billcsho That form sends an email to the applicant showing them which parts of their application have been received. Decisions are sent in an email.

If you can’t tell from the portal or emails you got when your application was received, try looking at last year’s acceptance thread on CC. People usually talk about how/when they heard. It could have changed this year, but probably is the same.

Vandy did change this year (from a letter to using the portal). We will hear by April 1, but probably in the last week of March.

Ivy decisions are available at 5:00 on March 27, so that would include Columbia. It may be that you just sign in using your applicant ID.
