How to check decision online?

obviously! jeeze people JUST WAIT.

haha. I agree - I wasn't even this crazed in December (and I was certainly frazzled about the whole business).

Well...in December, I was only waiting on one school. Now, I'm waiting on four ivies and two others. I think this time around there's so much more tension.

so when exactly are they gonna put decisions up? March 31? april 1? I couldnt find the date on the website.

you people seriously need to take a chill pill. the decisions will be out AT 5pm on MARCH 31. all published materials say April 1, HOWEVER, FOR THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS YALE HAS PUT OUT ITS DECISIONS A DAY EARLIER THAN STATED FOR BOTH THE EARLY AND REGULAR ROUNDS. i think at least a quarter of the posts on this thread say EXACTLY THAT. CALM DOWN. and for those of you who cant find the date-did you read the letter then sent you with your password, etc?

ummm....well said, I guess?

This is unquestionably a stressful time (even more so than in December, since so much more rides on it). However, trying to find secret ways into the Yale database probably isn't going to work. Over on the Harvard board, before EA decisions came out, they were trying to log into an apparently unrelated Harvard website to see, by unusual logic, if they were admitted or deferred/rejected. I don't think it worked for them, so I wouldn't put any stock in it here. After all, Yale has cracked down on online admissions security, what with the Princeton scandal and all...

So, does everyone get the "Login Successful" > "Unable to access decision site" sequence? Just asking, because I believe admitted and deferred/rejected Harvard EA'ers got different "error codes" in the hours and days before the decisions went up in December. You never know...

I got that...

i got it too

i think that everyone who was deferred (including myself) gets the message that our decision will be available at that site on april 1st.

ERROR: Your decision will be available at this website on April 1. Please return at that time.

Please delete this post

there's no point in it this post... no one is going to know until March 31st, so i second that...

sucharita..wasit u who said she wouldnt come on this site until decision day?...

noooo! I would NEVER make rash promises like that!
Nomad on the Indian Thread/Intl Students Forum did something like that though- he's reserving his 1000th post for his first acceptance :)

hehehe. .

To other deferees: do you get "login successful" then "error, return here 4/1"???

Vivaldi, it absolutely DID work for Harvard...I watched it in a room with 6 prep school applicants. The cc mod shut down the "discovery" thread around 4PM that day and, I presume, contacted Harvard about it. It was an ugly way to get rejected.

Prepster, FYI, all this "login successful" stuff is happening on the admitted students' page...one would think an admitted students' page would immediately show an error...understand all the hype now??? These are APPLICANTS getting "login successful" via the admitted link.

If just about all applicants are getting the message "login successful", how can one attach any signficance to it?

i still can't activate my account. I put in the PIN number they sent me by mail and my birthday and it just tells me that the PIN is invalid or my bday incorrect.
